Mobile phone carrier Verizon has been rumored to plan the launch of HTC One even before the device became official, but it still hasn’t added it to its offering, though it appears that it might be doing so in a couple of weeks.

According to the latest reports on the matter, the wireless operator might be set to make the device available for purchase on its network on August 15, at least this is what leaked documents that emerged over at droid-life unveil.

Japanese mobile phone maker Sony Mobile has started to deliver a new firmware update for the owners of Xperia Z and Xperia ZL smartphones out there, namely software version 10.3.1.A.0.244.

The upgrade is based on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, and should already appear as available for some of the owners of the Xperia Z (C660X) and Xperia ZL (C650X) out there.

Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan the release of its own tablet PCs, supposedly set to run under Microsoft’s Windows 8 operating system, and some more proof on the matter appears to have emerged online.

A certain Nokia RX-114 device has made it to the website of GFX Bench, featuring a 1371 x 771 pixels screen, close to the 1366 x 768 pixels display of Surface RT, which suggests that it could indeed be a tablet PC running under Windows RT.
