HTC Lays Off 20% of Its Workforce in the US Sep 15th 2013, 12:27, by Softpedia News (Cosmin Vasile) It appears that HTC does not show any signs of recovery, as the company has silently laid off 30 employees and contractors from its HTC America division. HTC America had around 150 employees, which means about 20% of the US workforce was fired recently. Even though the company did not make any comment initially, the folks over at The Verge were able to obtain a letter from President of HTC Americas, Jason Mackenzie.
